We’re Umbrella Property Services and we’ve been in business since 2008. We run a fast-growing carbon neutral cleaning business that helps commercial and residential owners keep their buildings looking fantastic. We take care of over a million square feet of properties and within the next three years, we’ll be doubling the amount of properties we maintain. We have grown by providing our clients with a stellar client experience. Because of this we need someone who understands the importance of authentically caring. This is where you come in, as our new Operations Manager.
Your main goal in this position is to manage the daily operations of the business through exemplary leadership. This is a tremendous opportunity for someone who has experience in operations, strategic planning, or running their own business.
Leading a team of 6-10 technicians, you will oversee our operations while implementing improvement initiatives across several departments in the business. You’ll focus on customer interactions and develop strategies for providing the best possible experience, manage timelines with our technicians, develop operating procedures, manage inventory, recruit and onboard (just to name a few).
Success in this role means keeping the business running smoothly while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction, profitability and employee retention.
Practically speaking, you will:
- Communicate directly with clients, technicians, and office staff.
- Make use of project management tools to inform team and clients of progress and to manage timelines.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures.
- Supervise and assist in the daily fulfillment of scheduled jobs to ensure on-time service for our customers.
- Strategize with our team and clients on how to provide the best service offering possible.
- Recruit, hire, train, and work with staff to develop and improve their skill sets.
- Manage inventory and ensure proper maintenance and use of equipment.

Working @ Umbrella Property Services;
This is a full-time, permanent role with an attractive salary as well as comprehensive group benefits (health, dental, vision, etc.), and vacation.
Office hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 to 4:00 p.m. at our office located in East Vancouver. Our off-season months in February and August are a bit slower, so you’ll have the ability to take a few weeks off at a time.
You’ll receive a competitive salary of $50,000 – $55,000 commensurate with experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, a vehicle, a cellphone, laptop, fitness allowance and educational allowance of $2000. Lastly, you’ll be a part of our performance bonus structure of up to $15,000 if we meet our KPIs for the year.

- Experience in an operations, systems, strategic, or analytical role
- Experience leading, supervising, and/or managing a team of individuals
- Experience in a customer service or customer facing role
- Post-secondary education in business administration or relatable program
