I attended TWU from 2004 to 2008, completing my B.A. in International Studies with a stream in International Political Economy and a minor in Geography. I also attended the Laurentian Leadership Centre, receiving a Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Applied Public Affairs.
From 2010 to 2012 I did my M.A. in Public and International Affairs – with a focus in Development – from the University of Ottawa. In addition, I recently received a designation from the Governance Professionals of Canada Education Program. |

– Nutrition International (June 2015 – present; Ottawa, ON). Policy Officer – Governance and Innovation. Responsible for managing the organization’s governance systems and board of directors for this large NGO that works in 60 countries with an annual budget of more than $80 million. Overhauled the organization’s governing bylaws and am responsible for implementing the organization’s risk management process.- Children of the Promise (Sep. 2016 – present; Cap-Haïtien, Haiti). Member of the Board, Treasurer, and Chair of the Governance Committee. Led the board through a year-long transition to a policy governance model. Currently the treasurer of this Christian non-profit with an annual budget of approximately $1 million.- The Meeting House Church (Sep. 2012 – present; Ottawa, ON). Elder. Have been a member of and volunteer with the church and led a home church (small group) for the past seven years.- Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (Nov. 2014 – June 2015; Ottawa, ON). Planning Analyst. Contributed to the metrics and programming for NSERC’s strategic plan.- United Nations Development Programme (Sep. 2013 – April 2014; Harare, Zimbabwe). Junior Professional Consultant. Worked in monitoring and evaluation of UNDP’s poverty-reduction programs in Zimbabwe. |
