TWU ALUMNI ASSOCIATION Board of Directors — ideal candidate

MINIMUM QUALIFYING CRITERIA

In order to have a functioning, healthy board, all board members should meet the following criteria:

  • Be a TWU Alumni (have taken at least 15 semester hours at TWU)
  • Be committed to attend quarterly Board meetings and various Alumni Association events and activities (2-4 hours per quarter + occasional event attendance)
  • Have read the Association bylaws

Desirable Criteria:

Desirable criteria includes the skills and experience that would prove particularly valuable for serving on the board:

  • Previous experience serving on working board
  • Experience working in a member-focused organization
  • Well networked to more TWU alumni in diverse personal and professional spheres of life
  • Willingness to serve on a subcommittee, typically involving an additional meeting and volunteer work at an annual TWUAA event (approximately 2-4 hours a month)
  • Have skills and experience related to:
    • Planning and executing events
    • Donor relations and fund raising
    • Accounting or book-keeping
    • Tech-savvy
